We can never give our Heavenly Father enough Praise. For He is a wonderful Father and never stops listening to and caring for His Children. His desire is that ‘ALL’ would come unto Him through His Son Jesus, “And I, if I [Jesus] be lifted up from the Earth, will draw all men unto Me,” John 12:32.
One of the ways that the Holy Spirit draws men’s hearts to the Lord is through His Word in printed Gospel Tracts. It is our blessing to be in a ministry that has written, published, and shipped untold millions of Gospel Tracts throughout the world since 1926, all without selling them. We are supported solely by the Love Gifts of God’s Family, and no one else. When the Lord called my Father to start printing Gospel Tracts in the back of Grandpa’s Horse barn on a hand-operated, one-page printing press, without a doubt, he did not know what blessings, and challenges, lay in front of him.
The digital press that the Lord laid upon my heart several years ago came into reality last year. It has brought many blessings, and many frustrating moments. One by one, these frustrating times have been overcome and conquered by the Grace, Patience, and Wisdom from my Lord. Before the digital press, we would have to place some tract requests on ‘back-order’ until we had the time and money to print 6,000 to 10,000 of them at one time on the four-color press to save money. We keep close to 800 Gospel Tract titles in stock at any one time. Having back-orders meant spending more time and money to complete the Gospel Tract request as the back-orders were printed and filled. We would have 20 to 30 titles on back-order at one time. Praise the Lord because today we do not have any back-ordered tracts, comic books, coloring books, activity books, or anything else that we are able to print in house. The digital press allows us to print and ship 15 to 5,000 copies the same day a request is received, with very few exceptions.
The only thing we have on back-order right now is large-print KJV and Spanish Bibles for prisoners. We have been working for years to get these large-font Bibles printed here in the United States. One source says that 95% of all Bibles printed in the world are printed in China, which is really ‘odd’. [That one will take a minute, but you will get it later if you think about it.] Currently, the only ‘large-print’ Bibles available are neither truly ‘large-print’ nor affordable. Most of them are no larger than “10 point type font,” and cost $35.00 to $55.00 each. We need “13 point type font” for them to be read in the dark prison cells by the aging prison population and a whole lot cheaper to purchase. These Bibles need to be of quality paper, ink, construction, and affordable enough that we can buy thousands of them at one time to send into the prisons.
Right now, that is our need. We need to be able to purchase 20,000 Bibles in English and Spanish to get the price per Bible down to a cost that this non-profit ministry can afford.
I’m reminded of Matthew 25:41-43, “Then shall He [Jesus] [shall] say also unto them on His left hand, ‘Depart from Me … For I was hungry, you gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink … in prison and you visited Me not’.” We send thousands upon thousands of Gospel Tracts to prisoners and to prison chaplains, and as many Large Print Bibles as we can afford to purchase. We have not been able to depend upon the world’s publishing plants to supply our Bible needs.
Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to follow the Lord in this Gospel Tract Ministry. We need His Wisdom and guidance in all that we do. And, we need you by our side.
“May the Blessing of our Father rest upon you today in all of His Fullness, Grace, and Love as we go forward in printing and distributing Gospel Tracts to the World, sending Bibles into prisons, and ministering to the Orphans in Haiti. This ministry has printed God’s Word for the past 90 years, and we are looking to see what next ‘good thing’ our LORD has for us to accomplish for His Kingdom.
Praise His Wonderful Name.”
In the Priceless Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Your Covenant Brother;
